Acoustic Tiles

Acoustic Tiles Durisol

Our acoustic tiles are frequently used in tunnels, viaducts, multistorey car parks and along railway lines, as well as to clad external walls or the walls of sports halls. The tiles can be adapted to fit in with the environment or the customer’s wishes. Involving us in the process as early as possible is important to achieve the best result.

Natural

It is easy to grow plants on our acoustic tiles without the need for any additional steps. As an added bonus, covering the panels with plants in this way also prevents graffiti. The acoustic tiles are available in four sound absorption classes: A2, A3, A4 and A5 in accordance with EN1793-1.

They can be supplied in the following types and dimensions:

  • GT (standard),
  • RSS (rail application),
  • TT (sound absorbing and fire resistant; for use in tunnels).

GT type

The GT-type acoustic tiles are available in a range of different types and dimensions. The visible side is smooth or profiled and each type has its own profiling, depending on the absorption class to be complied with. You can also opt for a variant or use your own design. The tiles have a standard width of 600 mm, with lengths ranging from 1,000 mm to 2,000 mm depending on the type.

GT-type acoustic tiles can be attached to an existing wall using at least four anchors with a bearing plate or can be supplied as a semi-finished product for integration by a concrete manufacturer.

In addition to the standard colour of natural grey, we can also supply our tiles in a wide range of other colours. Colours achieved using integral pigments are our preferred option, but it is also possible to coat the panels in a RAL colour on site.

Please see the product sheet here [link naar technische gegevens] for further information.

Alternative dimensions are available on request. Please contact us for further details [link naar contactgegevens].

RSS (Rail Silencing System) type

Our RSS (Rail Silencing System) acoustic tiles have been specially developed to noticeably reduce noise levels at train or tram stations and along railway lines, e.g. between and next to the rails in the case of slab track constructions and at the front of platforms.

The RSS-type acoustic tiles are available in a range of different types and dimensions. The visible side is smooth or profiled and each type has its own profiling. You can also opt for a variant or use your own design. The tiles have a standard width of 600 mm, with lengths ranging from 1,000 mm to 2,000 mm depending on the type. For horizontal use between and next to rails we can adjust dimensions on a project-specific basis.

RSS-type acoustic tiles can be attached to an existing wall using at least four anchors with a bearing plate or bonded to a concrete substrate.

In addition to the standard colour of natural grey, we can also supply our tiles in a wide range of other colours. Colours achieved using integral pigments are our preferred option, but it is also possible to coat the panels in a RAL colour on site.

Please see the ‘technical data’ document for further information. Alternative dimensions are available on request. Please contact us for further details [link naar contactgegevens].

TT (tunnel tile) type

Tunnel tiles are installed as part of tunnel projects and other underground construction projects to increase fire resistance. For use in tunnels Durisol has developed a new type of wood-fibre concrete that not only absorbs sound, but also offers a high level of fire resistance.  This ensures the underlying (tunnel) construction is protected in the event of a fire. The product has been tested extensively (three hours at 1,350°C) and comfortably complies with the ‘time-temperature’ curve of the Dutch Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management.
